MINI TIPI KOKUM INDIGENOUS BLANKET
The KOKUM Indigenous Blanket is an eco-friendly woven blanket that is large enough for a queen sized bed or a throw blanket that can be used indoors and outdoors. Made from sustainable fabric woven in Italy, it offers the perfect balance of softness, durability, and warmth.
Crafted from a recycled wool, acrylic, and recycled polyester blend, this blanket is soft to the touch, long-lasting, and fully washable. A clean trim completes the design with a refined finish.
ABOUT THE DESIGN
Kokum blanket is inspired by the Kokum scarves, a symbol of cultural connection between Ukrainian settlers and the Cree people on the Canadian Prairies. Known as a khustka in Ukrainian culture, these floral scarves were gradually adopted and passed down by Cree grandmothers and Elders. Over time, they became affectionately known as Kokum scarves, kokum meaning "grandmother" in Cree.
